Extremely limited stock on this smoking Spanish tribal monster tailor made for the packed floors of Space and Crobar. The a-side combines some racy female vocal snippets` Razor & Guido synth samples and an unbelievable tribal beat. Lots of hooks on this one but they're done right! The flipside version is darker and more twisted` just the ticket for those sweaty 4am floors.
Bedrock Breaks fans will want to snap this one straight up! Josh Katz aka J Punch serves up a stunning mixture of progressive` house and breaks highlighted by a beautiful vocal treatment and an 80's tinge to the production. Bedrock's own Fretwell drops a brilliant remix on the flip` with deep breaks and even deeper trancey washes and fx that will transport your mind to another place. Everyone from Zabiela to Fortier and Digweed giving serious props to this mix.
As featured on James Zabiela's 4 compilation. J Punch deliver a slice of dark tribal pressure using haunting vocal bits and thick swirling sounds over a pumped tribal beat. Paul Lancaaster remix on the flip with a more proggy edge.
The guy behind the recent hard dance smash-ups of Ferry Corsten 'Rock Your Body Rock' and Mauro Picotto's 'Lizard' is back at it with this brilliant remake of Studio B's 'I See Girls'. The usual full on beats and phat bass in full effect on this former Data track as Jac gives it a filthy harder trance feel.
Originally out of Spain and the first record to appear on this new Bonzai imprint is this smooth trance number. Mixes here come from labelmates Fire and Ice and they really do a number here.
Brilliant new single from former Dirty Blue artists Jack Addicts which is right now favoured by John Digweed. The a-side is a driving prog workout with a thick` lush Dutch flavour to it. Desirous female vocal samples` rolling bass and Madoka-like synth programming make this one a real stomper. 'Re:Locate' is a trancier affair that we think the Sander Van Doorn/Electronic Elements fans will love.
Another devastating outing from Shane Harris aka Jack Addicts {Whoop/Dirty Blue/Minimal} returning to the Minimal label with 'Illuminous Skys'. This one is a powerful prog beast working tribal-influenced drums` thick bass and layered synth overlays with the dreamy vocal hook provided by Shane's girlfriend Sarah. On the flipside the mood chills out just a bit with the 125BPM chugger 'Repression' played this summer by both Sasha and Steve Lawler.
SABRES OF PARADISE. The myth` the legend. Just one of the spawn of Andrew Weatherall. This time around was a release by the artist JACK OF SWORDS. With the reproduction or the band SUICIDE's album cover art and a dark introspective interview with band member Alan Vega running throughout this classic trance tune` truley is a look at the roots of trance music. As pulsing synths running continuously throughout the bass kick and cymbal patterns never let up and never even once hint at a cheesy moment. Serious progressive music.
Wicked new hardstyle/hard dance gear produced by Spain's well-known DJ Jack Overdose and Frank Vanguard. 'Octavia Augustus' is a blistering slab of hard dance pressure with its razor-sharp riffs` hammering kicks and a bassline that will knock you off yer feet. Already in the charts of Yoji Biomehanika` Warmduscher` Scot Project and Mauro Picotto.
Dave Seaman's label goes from strength to strength with the latest release from Paul Jackson and the remixing debut on the label of Cocoon's rising star Oliver Koletzki. Jackson's original is a soulful` building prog track with a gentle` dreamy electronic touch. Koletzki's mix is the real deal` with a massive sub bass coming at ya and thick electro beats and sounds- this is the mix for us!!
Paul is probably best known for his releases on Darren Emerson's Underwater label where he authored several killer EP's. His debut on Dave Seaman's Audiotherapy imprint has Paul's trademark rumbling basslines` tough techy beats and nicely twisted sounds that have already found themselves in the crates of Seaman` Pete Gooding and Steve Lawler.
#2 in the Buzz Chart! Best trance track to come out of the Bonzai/Green Martian posse in ages- this takes the Ferry Corsten/Ian van Dahl sound of uplifting strings & synths and adds a ferocious analog bassline that rips through the air like a machine gun- for Tsunami fans` this is highly recommended.
ANDY MOOR's Baroque sub-label Method delivers the goods yet again` with this firin' slab of dark progressive goodness that'll remind you of those good ol' Twilo days. DECON are on the remix here and they come up huge` riding a pumping` percussion heavy mix and massive sweeping synth drone that radiates pure POWER. Jade offer up a pair of mixes on the flip` keeping up a tasty dark vibe that'll get the DANNY HOWELLS fnas in a frenzy.
